Moodle Moments

We invite you to join us in our weekly moodle.  A “moodle” is a prayerful, brain-wandering session about and with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We borrowed the term from a children’s book The Lost Track of Time by Paige Britt (a great read for children and adults). Every week we meet to moodle about God and with God, which results in a devotion we share with you. Of course, moodling does not take the place of personal time with God, reading His Word or corporate worship. It is actually an extension of those cherished times.

Moodling is something that cannot be rushed and has no time constraints. The results of moodling produce life changes that many times are non-quantitative but surely massage the soul. Frankly, we would recommend it for all of you – set aside time to moodle with your spouse, your family or your sister or brother-in-Christ! Our moodling not only produce devotions that we share and retreats that we held prior to the pandemic but also our book The River Journey – Navigating the Way with Jesus.

“The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They’re full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don’t fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this: Our Father in heaven, Reveal who you are. Set the world right; Do what’s best— as above, so below. Keep us alive with three square meals. Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others. Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil. You’re in charge! You can do anything you want! You’re ablaze in beauty! Yes. Yes. Yes.” Matthew 6:9-13 The Message
