Since everything here today might well be gone tomorrow, do you see how essential it is to live a holy life? Daily expect the Day of God, eager for its arrival. The galaxies will burn up and the elements melt down that day-but we’ll hardly notice. We’ll be looking the other way, ready for the promised new heavens and the promised new earth, all landscaped with righteousness. 2 Peter 3:11-13
As children of God, it matters how we approach our day. It matters whether we are exhibiting righteous behavior or giving into our own desires. It matters how we act towards others. Are we kind or disinterested or worse yet, just plain mean? Most of all, it matters how we interact with God. Are we prayerful, joyful, expectant?
Are we approaching TODAY, with an attitude of gratefulness towards God for His provision for us? Are we anticipating the opportunity to serve him in this day? Are we delighting in the promise of eternal living He has for us in this day?
