If you feel yourself slipping into depression or lethargy;
If you feel directionless with no indication of where to turn;
If you are hurt and unable to be comforted;
If you are grieving with no end to your pain;
If you are questioning His presence;
If you are worried and losing hope;
If you feel your faith slipping away;
If you feel completely alone;
If you feel misunderstood and have no one to turn to;
If you are trapped in circumstances beyond your control;
If you are in need of reassurance and unfailing love.
Then, turn to the Word of God.
I lift my eyes unto the hills –
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of Heaven and Earth.
He will not let your foot slip – he who watches over you will not slumber . . . Psalm 121:1-3
Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those that hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. . . Matthew 5:3-6
Be still and know that I am God . . . Psalm 46:10
Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? . . . Matthew 6:25-27
I am the Way, the Truth and the Life – No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened . . . Matthew 7:7-8
I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. . . . John 7:25
It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this and I will be his God and he will be my son. Rev. 21:6-7
